We have turned to the new concept of hotel and applied the principles of sustainability to the hospitality, combining ecology and design as a passport to comfort and well being of guests. This is a construction that is made with ecological criteria following the principles of building biology and utilization of renewable energies.
We have raised the level of sustainability and respect for the environment and presented them as a main point of the project. In this sense, we propose a bioclimatic architecture which uses the natural conditions of the environment, such as orientation, prevailing winds and incorporation of vegetation in the building.

The area of former bus station, a significant „peninsula“: freed, relieved, opening views toward the town. Introduction of a circular intersection in immediate vicinity of the mentioned lot stresses the slowdown at this point, enhancing the importance of this location.

Ever since prehistoric times, man has known how to orient his home, hearth or shelter, respecting natural conditions. Thus, settlements have grown throughout centuries, with orientation toward South East. Nenad Miloradović has come to an optimized facility base, which seems to present a “compromise solution to winter and summer needs of energy“ (Miloradović, Nenad. “Niskoenergetske zgrade - bioklimatska unapređenja primerena Beogradu”. („Low energy buildings – bioclimatic improvements suitable for Belgrade“), Arhitektura i urbanizam, 2006.).

The location of Vinsko Selo is situated within the Šipčanik complex, east of Podgorica (Capital of Montenegro), toward Tuzi. The complex is tangential with the traffic line connecting Podgorica, Tuzi and the border crossing of Božaj. On the very top of the Šipčanik hill there is an archaeological site, the shape and position of which has served for the concept development. Concentric contour lines of the hill remind of fingerprint, however, the space’s identity is not single.

Pixelation is the visual method by which we propose to de-materialise or to reduce the bulk of building – a step necessary to blend it in with its surroundings and to make it a viable and contemporary landmark building.

The main concept of footway and bicycle bridge was not to be the shortest river crossing, but to exist as a place of detaining. In that sense, „city bridge side“ is open to the town of Maribor. That opening is embodied as a small stands for sitting and resting by which the user can be brought down near the Drava River
